What is a Cricut and what does it do? 

A Cricut is an electronic cutting machine. It cuts, scores, and draws on a variety of materials.

Specifications:

  • Upload your own images for free (.svg, .jpg, .png, .bmp, .gif, .dxf)
  • Cut over 60 materials
  • Smart Set® dial for easy material settings
  • Free Cricut Design Space™ online software to use at home or in the Library

Supplies on-hand include:

Cricut attachments including markers and blades;

Materials including Everyday Iron-on and adhesive Vinyl

Dedicated computer for Cricut Design Space

Perfect for: 

Invitations, banners, decorations, monograms, fabric cutting, stencils, etc.

User Guidelines:

Users can book the machine for up to two hours at a time. Otherwise, the machine is available on a first come first served bases.

Users are welcome to bring their own materials as long as they are compatible with the machine, including fabric, card stock, vinyl etc.

Some materials may be purchased from the Library at the following rates:

  • Cricut Everyday-Iron On - $7 per 12x12 inch piece of material, or $3.5 per 12x6 inch piece of material.
  • Cricut Basic Vinyl -  $3 per 12x12 inch piece of material, or a minimum of $1.50 per 12x6 inch piece of material.
