Interlibrary Loan

If we do not have the books, audiobooks, music CDs or DVDs you are looking for, we may be able to borrow them for you from other libraries in Ontario. We can also borrow microfilm from national and provincial archives. We cannot borrow current bestsellers, reference material or school textbooks.

To request an item through the interlibrary loan system, please email us or call the Information Services Desk at 705-325-2556.

Unfortunately, not all requests can be filled.  It is up to the libraries which own the requested item to determine if they can lend it to a member of another library system.

Place Your Own Requests

If you wish to search the interlibrary loan system and place requests yourself, please email us to set up an account or call the Information Services Desk at 705-325-2556.  (Please note: Only books may be requested.  All other material types must be requested through Library staff.  Items twelve months or newer are not available.  Note: You must have a valid Orillia Public Library card to register for this service. )

Once you have an account, visit the INFO website and login.  Please be sure to check our online catalogue before sending a request.
