William Frost Scrapbooks

William Sword Frost arrived in Orillia from Glasglow, Scotland in 1867. He was a prominent jeweler and one time mayor of Orillia from 1911 - 1912. The scrapbooks are comprised of photographs, letters and documents gathered by William Sword Frost during his lifetime.  It is an an important record of the life in Orillia and Ontario in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century . The Wartime Images section also features a photographic series on the experience of the 157th Battalion (Simcoe Forresters) during World War One.
