The Skipping Zone
Mondays 5-7 p.m.
March 26-April 30
Jump into the  Skipping Zone, every Monday 5-7 pm. How many times can you skip without a trip? Record your best score and come back each week to  skip some more. Skipping beginners and experts welcome!

Calling all 'Crafters! Bring your family and make real-world versions of familiar objects from your favourite game - blocks, jack o'lanterns, and mobs! Drop-in between 5-7 p.m. every Tuesday night.

Family Art Night

Bring the whole family to create a one of a kind work of art. We'll try a different art project each week, we provide all the materials and you supply the creativity. No registration required, free! Drop in any time between 5 and 7 p.m.

Tinker, test, build, blast, mix, and mess... with science we ask why, and then we try! From rockets to rainbows, and experiments to explosions, we will have amazing kid-approved science projects available each week.

Tech Fun with Robots

Meet Orillia Public Library’s resident robots Dot, Dash, Huey, Piggy and Jack the mouse! This interactive learning experience helps spark creativity, and encourages cognitive development through problem-solving and technical literacy. Best suited for families with children ages 4-12. Parents and care-givers, please accompany children 9 and under.

Does your child have an interest in learning to code?  Teaching coding concepts is a great way to introduce the important skills of problem-solving, collaboration and creativity. This learn to code workshop will introduce children to basic coding concepts in a fun, interactive way. Best suited for families with children ages 6-12. Parents and care-givers, please accompany children 9 and under.

Typewriters are making a comeback! Bring the whole family and use these vintage, fun, creativity-coaxing machines of mechanical magic to write a letter, type a story, create a poem or even make some art. No batteries, hydro or Wi-Fi signal required! Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Free!
