Time Together Monday
Program begins November 19
5-7 p.m.
Close your screens and join in some good old fashioned fun as we play together. Challenge others with your own game and/or puzzle, or use one of ours!  Cooperation, concentration and laughs happen when we join together.  Open to families and children of all ages, as well as children on their own 10+.   

Typewriter Tuesdays! 
Program begins November 13
5-7 p.m.

Typewriters are making a comeback! Bring the whole family and use these vintage, fun, creativity-coaxing machines of mechanical magic to write a letter, type a story, create a poem or even make some art. No batteries, hydro or Wi-Fi signal required! Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Free!

Who Was Wednesdays
Program begins November 14

5-7 p.m.
Let’s go on an excellent adventure!  Each week we will complete creative challenges to explore notable names from history!  No registration required, free! Drop-in 5-7 p.m.

Family Art Night
Program begins November 15
5-7 p.m.
Bring the whole family to create a one of a kind work of art. We’ll try a different art project each week, we provide all the materials and you supply the creativity. No registration required, free! Drop in any time between 5 and 7 p.m.

Tinker Tech
Mondays 4-5 p.m.
Program begins January 7 and runs for 7 weeks
Interested in coding? Want to learn more about robots? Register for Tinker Tech Time and learn about a wide variety of tech toys. Ages 8+.

Circle of Readers
Program starts Monday January 7, or Thursday January 10 
5-7:45 p.m.
Do you have a child who could benefit from one on one tutoring?  Sign up for a timeslot with a Lakehead Education student in our 6-week Circle of Readers program. Timeslots are available Monday and Thursday evenings.  Space is limited; please contact Children’s Services to register, free, for students in Grades 1-6. 

Movement Mondays
January 14-February 18
5-7 p.m.
Feeling cooped up inside on these dark, dreary days? Bring your children for some movement activities in the Children’s Department. We’ll try hula-hoops, skipping ropes and more to stretch and move our busy bodies before we choose the books we’re taking home for bedtime.

Adventure Kit Club
Wednesdays, January 16-February 20

4:30-6:30 p.m.
Did you know that we have many AWESOME ADVENTURE KITS FOR LOAN in the Children’s Department?  Our kits are designed to learn through play; we will showcase a different kit each week for the family to explore!
