Drop in with your yarn and knit away the afternoon with our lively group of knitters and crocheters. We do not offer lessons at this group. This is a space for yarn enthusiasts to knit in public. We meet in our Fireplace Room on the second floor of the library.

Do you knit?  Have you heard of Twiddlemuffs?  They are a knitted muff with tactile items attached so that people with dementia can keep their hands warm and busy. People with dementia often have restless hands and like to have something to "twiddle".  It provides a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation while keeping hands snug and warm.  We are looking for volunteers to come forward to help us to create Twiddlemuffs to be donated to local nursing homes.  The soft knitted muffs contain strands of textured ribbons, beads and various fabrics attached both inside and outside, and can be costly to purchase.  That's why we need you!  Twiddlemuff donations can be dropped off at any of the Library Service Desks.  Please email us or call 705-325-2556 for more information.
