TEEN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Teen Leadership Committee

The Orillia Public Library’s Teen Volunteer program is currently accepting applications for the Teen Leadership Committee (TLC).  

What is the Teen Leadership Committee (TLC)?

The TLC is an application based program with a limited number of accepted committee members.  The TLC is a group of high school students that will meet monthly to:

• Learn Job-Related Skills
• Engage in Providing Feedback and Ideas
• Assist with Library Programs and Services
• Develop Community Connections 

Who Can Apply?

Teens who are entering into Grades 9-12 and are looking to positively contribute to the goals and services of the Orillia Public Library.

Time Commitment: 

The Winter/Spring program runs from February-June 2025.  Applicants must be able to attend a mandatory 2-hour orientation on Wednesday, February 5th from 3-5 p.m. and all 5 monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 3:00-4:30 p.m.  Additional volunteer opportunities will be presented for sign-up at monthly meetings.

Applications for the 2025 Winter/Spring program are due by Friday, January 17th at 5 p.m.  Apply to the TLC volunteer program here!

Teens can begin volunteering once they have graduated from Grade 8 and must be a current Orillia Public Library member.  Don't have a membership?  Find out how to get one. (Please note: We are only accepting teen volunteers within our service area.)

VolunTEENS

Are looking for a low commitment way to earn Community Involvement Hours at the Orillia Public Library?  Then VolunTEENS is the perfect program for you!  Each month we will have a registered workshop and/or presentation that you can attend and learn how to make a difference in your community!  Find out what's coming up next on our Teen page.

There are no Adult Volunteer opportunities available at this time.  Please add your name to our Volunteer Waitlist and we will notify you when we are recruiting volunteers.
