Saturday Special (All Ages)
Join us in the Family Department for an EXTRA SPECIAL Saturday! Every week, enjoy a fresh selection of self-guided activities we have created just for you! This drop-in program runs every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Family Art (All Ages)
Drop-in to the Family Dept. for a fun art project that all skill levels will enjoy! Let your creativity flow with different materials and inspiration each week on Sundays from 1-3:30 p.m. or Mondays from 4:30-7 p.m.

Wacky Winter Games (All Ages)

Stop by the Family Dept. 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. to try your hand at some silly SNOW inspired competitions, activities, crafts, and more!

Medals in the Makerspace: Winter Games Medals (Ages 4+)

Bring your winning attitude to the Makerspace between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.! Create your very own custom Winter Games Medal to show off your OPL Winter Sport pride! No registration required.
Rocks and Rings: Indoor Curling Program (Best for Ages 5+)
- Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings by Curling Canada is a hands-on, indoor curling event where kids and families can learn the basics of this exciting Olympic sport - no ice required! Using special “rocks” and rings, participants will learn to curl stones and strategize in a series of fun, friendly challenges. Register your child to attend on their own or pick a timeslot to attend as a family:

Passport to Nature: Story Walk (All Ages)
Celebrate Family Literacy Day with us at Scout Valley! We have teamed up with Couchiching Conservancy for a unique walk in the woods, ending with cider & crafts! This free program will be held on Saturday, January 25 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Zine Dream: Young Writers' Workshop (Ages 8-14)
Calling all creative minds! Join us for a special young writers' workshop series where your stories, poems, and artwork will come to life in a published zine! Whether you're a seasoned writer or just getting started, this is your chance to see your work in print and share it with the world. Come write, create, and be part of something awesome! This program will be held in the Family Program Room.
February Reading Challenge: Book BINGO (Ages 0-13)
Join us for our February Book BINGO Challenge and get a chance to win cool prizes while having fun trying new books! Whether you're reading independently or as a family, we’ve got a BINGO card filled with awesome reading challenges just for you! BINGO cards are available in the Family Department starting January 24.
Bring your completed BINGO cards to the Family Department Desk from February 1st-March 1st to earn a take-home treat and a ballot for the Grand Prize Draw!
Surprise Book Bouquet Bags (Ages 0-13)
Family Department staff are spreading the literary love this month! Let us handpick a selection of books that cater to your child's unique interests and preferences. Who knows, we might even throw in some surprises!
Reserve your BOOK BOUQUET until February 3rd.
Orders can be picked up in the Family Department beginning Friday, February 7th at 10 a.m.
A current library card is required.
Homeschool Hangout (School Age)
Attention Homeschoolers! It's time to connect, learn and explore together! Each monthly program features a variety of hands-on activities, engaging projects, and play to encourage creativity and curiosity. Whether you’re new to homeschooling or a seasoned pro, come and discover the joy of learning with friends in this welcoming space.
