Saturday Special (All Ages)
Join us in the Family Dept. for an EXTRA SPECIAL Saturday! Every week, enjoy a fresh selection of self-guided activities we have created just for you! This drop-in program runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates:
April 19: Hop Into Spring!
Need a break from the Downtown Orillia Great Easter Egg Hunt? Stop by for some hoppin' crafts and practice your egg colouring, make your own pom-pom peeps, and build an egg maze!
April 26: Trees Please!
It’s Arbor Week in Canada, a perfect opportunity to explore the trees that enrich our environment and shape our world. Let's learn how to identify trees and how trees and leaves grow. As The Lorax wisely states, “It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become".
April Family Art (All Ages)
Drop-in to the Family Dept. for a fun art project that all skill levels will enjoy! Let your creativity flow with different materials and inspiration each week on Sundays from 1-3:30 p.m. or Mondays from 4:30-7 p.m.

Spy School (All Ages)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join us in the Family Dept. between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. to test your spy skills by making top-secret disguises, memorizing mission details, and solving cyphers! All successful recruits will be awarded a Spy School certificate and their very own Spy ID!! No registration required.
Makerspace: Secret Mission (Ages 4+)

Stop by the Makerspace between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to level up your master spy toolkit and build your very own periscope - an essential tool for top secret missions! No registration required.
Family Movie Matinee: The Bad Guys (All Ages)

Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark and Ms. Tarantula may be bad, but they're so good at it! Join us for a viewing of "The Bad Guys" in our Library Program Rooms. Doors open at 2 p.m. No registration is required but space is limited. (This movie is rated PG).

Homeschool Hangout (School Age)
Attention Homeschoolers! It's time to connect, learn and explore together! Each monthly program features a variety of hands-on activities, engaging projects, and play to encourage creativity and curiosity. Whether you’re new to homeschooling or a seasoned pro, come and discover the joy of learning with friends in this welcoming space.

Tween Time: Perler Bead Party! (Ages 9-12)
Unleash your imagination and create awesome designs using fuse beads! Join us on Tuesday, May 27th from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Family Program Room to make keychains, wind spinners, photo frames, and more! This program is guaranteed to fuse hands-on fun with personal innovation!
