Is your class looking for books for a unit? Fill out this form with three days notice and we'll have a hand-picked book bundle ready for you to pick up and check out!
Adventure Backpacks
We have curated packages of resources and books to spark interest in a variety of topics. Put one on hold through our catalogue using your OPL barcode and your PIN (the first four letters of your last name, lower case).
Educator Book Sets
Need multiple copies of the same book? Check out what what we have available!
Search the Catalogue by TAG
Looking for a particular topic? Or an idea for an assignment? Use staff created TAGs in our catalogue to find staff curated lists of tough topics (death) or subjects that are difficult to search (interactive books).
Digital Library
Your Library card opens up a world of free resources you can access anytime. We have helpful and immediate access to Hoopla products, the Educator's 200 database, access to Overdrive eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines, and kid-centred online picture books and online encyclopedias.
Battle of the Books
Annually, schools are invited to participate in our Battle of the Books!
Special Cards for Educators
Institutional Memberships for School Classrooms:
- expire on June 30 of the school year,
- are for teachers at elementary and secondary schools in Orillia
- take 2 business days to process after documentation received by the library\
