Computers, Printing, and WiFi

Printing
Printing, photocopying and scanning services are available from any library computer. Black and white prints are available for $0.25 per page and colour prints are available for $1.00 per page. Scanning documents to email is available free of charge. You can print at the library by logging on to a public computer with a Library card or guest pass.

Wireless Printing
Orillia Public Library uses Princh for wireless printing. This service allows you to send prints from your own device and pick them up from the library. Prints are held for 24 hours. Please check the Library hours before arriving to pick up prints. Wireless prints can be sent from mobile devices through the use of the Princh app for Android or IOS. We provide free public computer stations to access the Internet and word processing programs. Computer use is first-come, first served for a maximum of two hours per day. Computers are available when the Library opens until 10 minutes before closing. You must have a valid Orillia Public Library card to use our public computers. If you do not have a OPL card but are a resident of Orillia, Oro-Medonte or Severn Township, please obtain one at the Check Out Desk. Find out more about getting a library card. If you are a visitor to Orillia, please bring a piece of identification to obtain a one-time guest pass. If you do not have identification, you may use a 20-minute "quick access" computer. Wi-Fi
The Library offers wireless Internet service free of charge during regular business hours. You must re-connect your Wi-Fi and accept the terms and conditions every time you enter the Library. Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Kits are also available for 2-week loans to Library members.

Laptops
Laptops are available exclusively for in-house use for tests and exams. These can include exams for online education courses or qualifications such as Smart Serve. Borrowers are required to have a Library card, sign an agreement form, and trade a piece of government issued photo ID before use. To use a laptop for an examination, please provide forty-eight hours notice by calling 705-325-2556 or email us. We also offer proctoring services for a fee. (*For regular course work or research, we ask that you use the public desktop computers by acquiring a Library card or guest pass. Public computers may be used for a maximum of two hours per day.)
